Lucy Francis Moulton, passed away peacefully at the Ross Memorial Hospital on Sunday, September 15, 2024.
Lucy was born in Toronto in 1939, the eldest child of three to John Meins and Rhea Powers. She was the sister of Nancy Wood, of Woodville (d) 2020, loving wife of Sidney for 7 years before his passing in 1979. The best friend and loving companion of Jim Cunningham of Lindsay, deceased in 2020.
Lucy has made Lindsay her home for the past 24 years. Lucy had an infectious personality that charmed everyone she met. She retired from a career with CN-CP starting at 17 as a Telegraph operator, raising through the ranks travelling all over Ontario teaching others how to operate Telex machines, which she wrote the operational manual for. You may have seen her on a television commercial years ago. She leaves behind her dear friends and neighbours at 5 Heritage Way. Hannelore, Joan and Grace were with her on her final journey Sunday morning. Many thanks to the Ross Memorial Hospital staff and especially Drs. Murphy and Brent MacMillan for their excellent care.
