Hawkins, Jacqueline Gail – Passed away peacefully with family by her side, at Victoria Manor in Lindsay, Ontario, on Tuesday, February 27th, 2024, at the age of 77.
Jackie is lovingly remembered by her son Jason, daughter-in-law Melanie, grandchildren Drew, Sarah and Brandon. Cherished Sister of Paul (Donna Truchan) Healey, Barbara Best (Ron Conkie) and Michael (Susan) Healey. Jackie will be missed by many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her spouse William Hawkins (1986)
Jackie dedicated her life to her family, her friends, her work at Crayola Canada, the United Way, and the Ontario 5 Pin Bowling Association. Jackie was inducted into the 5 Pin Bowling Hall of Fame in 2009 under the Builders category. Jackie was blessed with making lifelong friendships along her journey and her bowling friends will miss her dearly. Special thank you to Jackie’s friends Anna Marie Geary and Judy Post for always supporting Jackie and being there with that cup of tea and hug when needed.
Thank you to all the wonderful staff who came into Jackie’s home and treated her with so much respect and dignity, allowing her to stay in her own home for as long as possible, we thank you from the bottom of our hearts.
Thank you to all the staff at Victoria Manor in Victoria House for caring for Jackie. The care you provided for our mother, sister, grandmother and friend was beyond amazing. This terrible disease took a lot from us, but you ensured that Jackie was always respected and cared for with dignity. For that we will forever be grateful.
A visitation will take place at the Stoddart Funeral Home, 24 Mill Street, Lindsay on Friday March 1, 2024 from 6:00 – 8:00 pm, and again on Saturday March 2, 2024 from 10:00 am until time of funeral service in the chapel at 11:00am.
In lieu of flowers her family ask for donations to be made in her memory to Alzheimer Society of Canada or to Victoria Manor (cheques payable to Victoria Manor **Note** use for Victoria House)
