Daniel William Brown – Passed away suddenly on Wednesday, April 17th, 2024 at his home in Peterborough. Dan was the beloved husband of Peggy Thurston-Brown for over 40 years. Cherished father of Lewis and Cameron. Loving son of Bernard and Eleanor. Brother to Ronald (Karen), Douglas (Kim Robinson), Sharon (Eric Lismanis), Karen (Terry Jones) and Sarah (Ken Downing). Brother-in-law to Keith (Sandy) and Ken. Predeceased by parents-in-law Norman and Jean Thurston. Loving uncle to many nieces and nephews.
Daniel was a long time member of I.A.T.S.E Local 873 as a movie set construction carpenter. Previously worked many years in live theatre in Toronto and summer stock theatres in Lindsay and Gravenhurst. He was a lover of all sports, proud hockey dad and still cheered for the Leafs. Daniel was a literature enthusiast, also enjoyed reading and writing poetry having published 3 of his own poetry books.
The family will gather privately. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
