It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Constance Marie Whitton (Goreski). Daughter of Felix and Mary Goreski. Born March 12, 1931. Loving wife of Alexander Whitton (deceased). Devoted mother of Connie Jackson (Lorne), Debra Harrigan (Michael), Kenneth Whitton, deceased (Janet) and Gregory Whitton. Cherished and loved by ten grandchildren Jason Jackson (Rhonda), Jennifer Hancock (James), Matthew Jackson (Virginia), Chris Jackson, Jim Harrigan (Julie), Adam Harrigan (Michelle), Melissa Harrigan, Joshua Whitton (Mariah), Jessica Lee (Russ) and Dennis Whitton (Mary). And twenty-three great grandchildren, Alex, William, Kathryn, Kaitlyn, Natalie, David, Calliegh, Carter, Hayden, Wyatt, Charlie, Henry, Reese, Benjamin, Alister, Mae, Wyatt, Samuel, Jacob, Patrick, Ava, Valerie and Hailey. Loving sister to Jack, Nora, Mike, Tom, Jim, Chris, Tony, Danny, Lucy and Janet.
Our mom was a beautiful faith filled kind and loving person. Her family was her greatest joy and she cherished every moment with them.
Mom’s life was filled with acts of kindness and she touched many people’s lives, her greatest was her dedication and love for Gregory. Everyone loved listening to Connie’s stories of growing up in Toronto and being the oldest of a very large family. Her wisdom of 93 years and advice was enjoyed, cherished and deeply valued by all who knew her. Her legacy of love and faith will live on in her family and all those who had the privilege of knowing her. She will be sadly missed and her absence will leave a very big hole in our hearts and our lives. A special thank you to Julie Sedore, community paramedic, the emergency staff at Ross Memorial Hospital and the ambulance paramedics, we are so grateful for the kindness and compassionate care you gave to our mom.
A service will be held at Smith Cemetery, Woodville on Thursday September 26, 2024 at 2:00pm.
If desired, memorial donations to the Woodville/Eldon Food Bank would be appreciated by the family. Donations and condolences may be made through Mackey Funeral Home via cheque.
