With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Bruce Crone on November 21, 2024, at the age of 82. Born in Kirkfield, Ontario, on March 23, 1942, Bruce grew up in Toronto and spent his career at Dufferin Concrete, where he proudly contributed to iconic Toronto landmarks, including the Convention Centre.
Bruce was a devoted family man who found his greatest joy in the love and company of his children and grandchildren. He was a proud father to Bonnie (Duncan), Bobbie-Anne (Joseph), Robin, and Derek, and a beloved grandfather to Morgan (Aidan), Olivia (Nick), Michelle (Mike), and Nicole (Brandon). He cherished every moment spent with his family, who were the center of his world.
A true outdoorsman, Bruce loved cutting wood, building projects, and creating his dream log home in Blackstock, Ontario. He adored animals, sharing his life with loyal dogs and affectionate cats, and enjoyed working out with professional athletes at Boomer’s Gym.
Bruce spent his final years at Lakeview Manor Long Term Care Home in Beaverton, where he was cared for by the wonderful staff, for whom he and his family are forever grateful.
Predeceased by his first love and mother of his children, Lois Crone, Bruce leaves behind a legacy of love, kindness, and hard work that will forever be cherished by all who knew him. In his memory, donations can be made to an animal shelter of your choice.
There will be a Memorial Reception at Lakeland Funeral & Cremation Centre, 19 Moose Road, Lindsay, Ontario on Tuesday, November 26 from 11:30 A.M. – 1:00 P.M.
