It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Sadiyah on July 16, 2024, with her family by her side, at the age of 89. Reunited with her husband Youssif Jabbour (1975). Loving mother of Youssif “Joe” (Tonia) Jabbour, and Jeannie (Tom) Clare. Devoted grandmother “Situ” of Mira and Avery. Predeceased by her parents Hanna and Laia Sarkis, and her siblings Youssef, Antonios, Dalel, Rosa, Alia, Sarkis, Balokia, Wadih, Waddad, and Jawad. She will be dearly missed by many nieces, nephews, and many friends, here and abroad. Sadiyah was born in Tourza, Lebanon, and immigrated to Canada with her husband in the 1950’s. She was a very hardworking and dedicated woman, doing everything she could to provide the best for her family. If you were ever looking for her, you could find her in her garden or in the kitchen, often bringing her family under her wing. Everyone knew, her heart and her home were always open. Sadiyah was a devoted Maronite Catholic, attending St. Anthony’s and St. Michael’s Parishes. Her faith was always an important part of her life. She was a dedicated member of Our Lady of Lebanon Auxiliary for many years. We would like to extend a our appreciation to the wonderful staff at Sun Parlor Home for Senior Citizens and Erie Shores Health Care for their kindness, care, and compassion to Sadie. Visitation will be held at Reid Funeral Home, 14 Russell Street, Leamington, 519-326-2631, on Sunday July 21, 2024 from 2-5pm and 7-9pm. Prayers at 8pm. Funeral Mass on Monday, July 22, 2024 at St. Anthony’s Parish, 280 Talbot Street East, Leamington at 10 a.m. Burial to follow at Evergreen Memorial Park Cemetery.
