Alexander Petrovich Chistoff Obituary
February 26, 1931-February 29, 2024
It is with great sadness that I announce the passing of my father Alexander Petrovich Chistoff “Baldy”, on February 29, 2024 at 93 years of age. Predeceased by his parents Anna and Peter. Much loved father of his only child Alexandra “Sandy” Allen. Beloved Papa of Shannon (Tom), Shawna, and Alexander (Karolina). Great Grandfather of Jacob, George and Gabriel. Loving brother of the late Anna, the late Olga (late Walter), the late Vera (late Hewitt) and Katherine (late Pat). Favorite Uncle Baldy to many nieces and nephews. Alex retired from General Motors after 30 years in 1980 at the young age of 49. Although he retired at a young age, he did not stop working. He worked many odd jobs which included construction, driving truck and cleaning but his favorite job was working at the farm. He will always be remembered for his love of sports, the outdoors, his garden and his zest for life. Boy could he dance! A special thank you to the staff at Iler Lodge for going above and beyond and staying with my Dad and I until the end. Your kindness will never be forgotten. Thank you also to Dorothy for your loving care and support over the years. Cremation has taken place. A Graveside Service and Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. Arrangements entrusted to Reid Funeral Home, 87 Maidstone Avenue East, 519-776-4233. In memory of Alexander, memorial donations may be made to Ronald McDonald House Charities to support his great grandson Gabriel’s health journey.
