Laura married Ernie in 1951 and they had 6 children who became her world, but that wasn’t enough. She babysat for another 10 + years. Laura was also the devoted wife of an entrepreneur, which meant she was always on call to help at Sandwich West Golf Range from 1975 to 1981. As years went on, her grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great, great grandchild were her pride and joy. Her other pastimes included sewing, baking, playing cards, getting her Hair and Nails done, and most especially DANCING! Her sense of humour and wit helped her stay strong through the tough times.
A BIG thank you to her family physician, Dr. Berecz and his STAFF, and to Dr. Mikhail and Dr. Deklaj for their compassion and care. Also much appreciation to the staff and nurses at Oak Park LaSalle for their kindness and exceptional care over the last 5 years. Thanks to the many nieces/nephews and friends that visited over the years at Oak Park, and a special thanks to Marc and Avril for treating mom like their own.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to Heart and Stroke Foundation or the Downtown Mission would be appreciated by the family.
