WERNER: Mary Frances
Passed away peacefully at Hospice Peterborough on Sunday December 1, 2024. Mary Werner (nee Gibbons) of Bridgenorth, in her 75th year. Mary will be remembered by many for over 30 years as a dedicated teacher at various Catholic Schools in the area. She was an active volunteer in the community and served at Lakefield Animal Welfare Society (L.A.W.S.) for over 20 years. She is the loving wife of the late Patrick Werner. Step-mother of Brian Werner (Nicole Martin) of Peterborough. Survived by her brothers Paul (the late Kathleen) of Peterborough, John of Buckhorn and Mark (Christine) of Buckhorn. Remembered by her nephews Robert, Ryan (Sophia) and Sterling (Rebecca). Also missed by great nieces Raya and Elizabeth and great nephews Roy and Caleb. Cremation has taken place. A private interment will be held at St. Martin of Tours R.C. Cemetery, Ennismore at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Hospice Peterborough as expressions of sympathy and may be made by contacting THE HENDREN FUNERAL HOMES, LAKEFIELD CHAPEL, 66 Queen Street, Lakefield at www.hendrenfuneralhome.com or by calling 705-652-3355.
