Janice “Jan” Hollis:
Passed away on August 5, 2024 at St. Mary’s Hospital in Kitchener, ON at the age of 74.
Predeceased by her beloved husband Kenneth Hollis.
Loving mother of Annette Burgess.
Dear grandmother of Eric Burgess.
Jan will be greatly missed by longtime best friend and partner Paul Greensides, siblings Lynette Gowing, Mel Coates, and Audrey Keba, along with many other cherished, extended family members. Jan will be fondly remembered by many close, lifelong friends.
Predeceased by parents Sydney and Nancy Coates, and stepmother Eleanor Coates.
Jan loved to dance and entertain her friends and family. She was an amazing cook and you could always taste the love she put into every meal. Jan had a quick wit and great sense of humour, that those closest to her knew all too well. When Jan wasn’t working or entertaining, she was likely relaxing with a good book.
Jan’s family will receive relatives and friends from 5:00PM – 7:00PM on Wednesday, August 14, 2024 at the Henry Walser Funeral Home, 507 Frederick Street, Kitchener, 519-749-8467.
As expressions of sympathy, donations to the St. Mary’s Hospital Foundation – Regional Cardiac Care Centre would be appreciated by the family (cards available at the funeral home).
