Passed away peacefully, on Saturday, March 23, 2024 at Grand River Hospital in Kitchener at the age of 87.
Beloved husband of 57 years to the late Daphne (nee Davies).
Loving father of Don (Carol) and Bryan (Patti) of Kitchener. Grandfather of Jeremy (Sarah), Brent (Stephanie), Courtney (Jack) and Jade and great grandfather to Lincoln, Landon, Charlotte, William and Chase.
Ernie was an avid and involved hockey fan. From coaching his boys, to cheering on his Montreal Canadiens, to organizing fan bus trips in the early 2000’s for the Kitchener Rangers games, he loved and enjoyed it all.
Private cremation arrangements entrusted to the Henry Walser Funeral Home, 507 Frederick Street, Kitchener, 519-749-8467. Inurnment at Williamsburg Cemetery.
As expressions of sympathy, donations to Lisaard and Innisfree Hospice would be appreciated by the family (cards available at the funeral home).
