Douglas, William “Bill”:
Passed away peacefully, with family by his side, on Thursday, June 27, 2024 at St. Mary’s Hospital in Kitchener at the age of 94.
Beloved husband of 61 years to the late Doreen (nee Morrow) (2012).
Loving father to Gail (Tom), Carole (Earl), Cindy (Ken), Lea (Larry), Glen (late Cathy), the late David (late Cindy) and Dean (Kaumudi). Dear “Bompa” to 15 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren.
Predeceased by sister, Cynthia.
Our Dad was many things. From his early years of playing football and being the drummer in his school band to as he got older a golfer, a pool shark, an amazing author of many poems and he had the greatest sense of humour. But our favourite part of him was being our Dad. With patience, love and generosity he raised seven children with the love of his life “Our Mom.”

Bill’s family will receive relatives and friends from 12:00 – 12:45 p.m. on Tuesday, July 2, 2024 at the Henry Walser Funeral Home, 507 Frederick Street, Kitchener, 519-749-8467. Funeral service will take place at 1:00 p.m. in the chapel followed by a reception. Private family interment at St. Clements Cemetery at a later date. Those unable to attend may join the service via live stream at www.henrywalser.com/live-streaming.
