William (Bill) Armstrong passed away peacefully on Wednesday, December 11, 2024, at 90 years of age. Beloved husband of the late Irene Armstrong (nee Dougan). Loving father of Sandra (Bob), Tom (Leona), Barbara (David) and Robert. Cherished grandfather of 6 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren.
Predeceased by his parents, William and Mary (nee Allen) Armstrong, and his siblings Isabel, Margaret, Roberta, Richard and Hughie.
Bill was a draftsman and high school teacher. He enjoyed running and participated in several marathons. He was passionate about the Bible; studying and teaching it whenever he had the opportunity.
In accordance with Bill’s wishes, there will not be visitation or a service. Donations in memory of Bill may be made to The Gideons International Canada, (sharewordglobal.com/ca; 1-888-482-4853) or the Chatham-Kent Hospice, (www.chathamkenthospice.com; 519-354-3113).
