John passed away peacefully at WRH – Met campus on Tuesday November 19, 2024, at the age of 73. Predeceased by his parents John, Virginia and Rita Pare, his brother Tim, and grandson Noah.
In his words – he had a great life. He shared 50 years with the love of his life, Margaret (Mulcaster). They were blessed with 3 amazing and wonderful children – Robert (Tara), Michelle Hickey, and Leanne (Brad) Campbell. Their grandchildren – Justin, Mackenzie, Nolan Pare, and Jaxon Hickey were the light of his life. There was nothing he enjoyed more than watching them all laughing and sharing. John loved his sisters – Mary (Brian)Perryman and Gloria D’Hondt, and sister in law Josie Pare. Loved by many nieces and nephews. John worked for many years as a custodian at Leamington hospital, where he took great pride in his work. He loved playing his guitar, writing songs, playing chess, and controlling the remote. His faith was strong and he loved his church.
Visitation will be held at Kendrick Funeral Home – Kingsville on Friday November 22, 2024, from 2-4pm and 6-8pm. We are requesting masks be worn while attending, to keep Marg safe for surgery. The funeral service will be held at the funeral home on Saturday November 23, 2024 at 11am, with interment to follow at Greenhill Cemetery.
If desired, donations in John’s memory may be made to Trinity New California United Church (1005 Road 2 W, Kingsville, ON N9Y 2E4). Special thanks to the skilled and caring staff at Erie Shores ICU and WRH-Met campus ICU.
In life, in death in life beyond death we are not alone. Thanks be to God.
