MCCALLUM, Thomas William
July 17, 1949 – October 12, 2023
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved Tom, at the Kingston General Hospital. Loving husband of 54 years to Sue (Crockett/Jeffers). Cherished dad of Heather Toffolon (Dino) and Jason McCallum and proud Grampy of Isabella, Caterina, and Sofia Toffolon and Maverick, and Hudson McCallum.
Tom was predeceased by his parents William and Greta McCallum, his two infant children, sisters and brother, Margie, Doreen, Robert, Judy, Debbie, Sherry and Lena and brothers-in-law Stanley, Johnie, and Eddie. Tom is survived by dear sisters Bonnie (Mike) and Donna (late Jimmy), brothers Stevie, Garnet (late Margie) and Bernard (JoAnn), sisters-in-law Ola (late Allen) Cora (late Bill), Elizabeth (late Arnold), Debbie (late Rollie) and Elva (late Joe).
He will be sadly missed by his niece Vicki Stilwell (Jeff) and their children Hannah, Duncan and Kardy, as well as numerous nieces and nephews and their families and friends.
Tom was a long-time employee of 52 years at Martin Construction working many different types of jobs while being employed there. A special thank you to the First Responders, nurses, doctors and PCA’s in Kidd 2 ICU at KGH and to Robin from Social Work and Tim from Spiritual Care for their memorable gifts.
Tom’s family will receive friends at the James Reid Funeral Home, 1900 John Counter Blvd., on Tuesday, October 17th from 3:00 – 7:00 pm. A service celebrating his life will be held in the chapel on Wednesday, October 18th at 11:00 am, followed by a reception in the reception centre. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the McCallum family or to the charity of your choice.
