Obituary
Walker, Sharon
Feb 22, 1946 – Oct 24, 2023
After a long battle with Alzheimer’s, Sharon Walker (nee Foster) passed away peacefully.
Vivacious, driven, and blessed with a wonderful smile, Sharon used her artistic talent to design kitchens and home interiors for years in the Peterborough and Kingston areas. After moving to Elgin, Ontario, a passion for the environment led her to dedicate her time to The Rideau Waterway Land Trust later in her life.
She is survived by her sister Lorraine (Al) Mace of Peterborough, children Brett Nelson and Allison (Lee) Hartley, grandchildren Brea and Maya Nelson, and Paige, Melissa, Benjamin, and Jacob Hartley.
Predeceased by her husband, David Walker, her sister Katherine (Eric) Innes of Peterborough, and her parents, Lorne and Freda Foster of Peterborough.
The family will hold a private memorial service at a later date.
Memorials or donations to Alzheimer’s research (www.alzheimer.ca ) or to the Rideau Waterway Land Trust (www.rwlt.org ).
