Sandra Manchester (Nee Killarn)
Entered into rest on the morning of July 1, 2024. She was 81 years old. Sandra, known by family and friends as Sandy, grew up in the Ottawa area. She was the daughter of Patrick and Marjorie Killarn. As a student, she was popular and involved in school and community. She was a cheerleader for the Ottawa Roughriders in the1960s. She became a highschool teacher, specializing in the care of needful students. She married Douglas Manchester in 1971 and is survived by his children, Mark Manchester and Christine Wozniak, their six children and five grandchildren.
Special thanks to the staff at Extendicare for their loving care and whom Sandy thought of as family.
Sandy was an emapthetic soul, capable of good humour and, when able, the ability to listen to others with compassion & understanding. She will be missed.
