(Francis) Ronald Smith
It is with great sorrow that we announce the passing of our cherished husband, father, uncle, grandfather at Trillium Nursing home on Sunday Nov. 26 2023. He passed peacefully surrounded by his loving family.
He will be missed by his loving wife of 62 years, Margery, his children Michael and Ronda (Neil), his grandchildren Stephen and Samantha, great grandchildren, sister-in-law Janet and his niece Cyndie, his extended family members and many friends and neighbours. He was predeceased by his parents Frank and Marguerite, his brother Jack and many aunts and uncles.
In keeping with Ron’s wishes, his visitation will be held at James Reid Funeral Home (1900 John Counter Blvd) on Sunday Dec 3 from 2 pm to 5 pm, and Monday Dec 4th 12:30-1:15 pm with the funeral following at 1 30 pm. Interment at Glenhaven Memorial Gardens with a reception to follow at James Reid Reception Centre.
We’d like to thank KGH and Trillium Nursing Home for their care and kindness shown to Ron.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Hope Presbyterian Church at the Portuguese Cultural Centre on Division St.
