Obituary
Peter Grant Montgomery
December 14, 1934 – November 4, 2023
Passed away at Kingston General Hospital after a brief illness. Predeceased by his parents Earl Gordon and Anna Gladys Montgomery (nee Mac Nutt), his older brother Gordon Montgomery (late Marion), younger sister Margot Carruthers (Garry) and nephew Gregory Foulkes (Julianne).
Peter is survived by his nephew Robert Foulkes (Suzanne) and his niece Michelle Montgomery. He will be fondly remembered by his great-nieces and nephews and by his cousins.
Peter grew up in Drummondville, Quebec and summered with his family on Lake Memphremagog. He worked most of his life as a research associate at Consolidated Bathurst in Montreal before retiring and moving to Ontario. In his younger years, he loved skiing and maintained his love for fishing, golfing and hunting trips with his friends and family. Peter also enjoyed his nature walks on the many trails around his home in Kingston and later in life working on his many jigsaw puzzles. Regardless of age, he was always up for a good Chinese food feast! He remained a loyal friend to the Drummondvillers he grew up with and many others who had the privilege of knowing him throughout his life. He will be deeply missed by his friends and especially by his remaining family.
