Laurel Marie Connor Obituary
After a long and beautiful life, Laurel Marie Connor, beloved wife of Dr. Calvin Connor, passed away on Feb 13, 2024, surrounded by her family. Born to Eva Lillian (née Wilson) and Wilfred Thompson, sister to Iris and Lloyd, aunt to Jill Berry. Daughters Lisa, Dawn, Solange, and their families continue to cherish her spirit. We and so many others will miss her dearly.
Fearless leader, teacher and friend, Laurel directed the fashion design program at St Lawrence College following a successful career as a fashion designer in Montreal, Toronto, and Europe. She held her students in high regard.
Laurel’s family invites you to celebrate her life on April 12th, 2024 at James Reid Funeral Home. Visitation will be 1:00 – 1:50 pm followed by a service in the chapel at 2:00 pm and a reception in the Reception Centre.
Donations may be made in Laurel’s honour to The Musical Lending Library in Kingston, The Food Sharing Project, or The Humane Society.
