Judith Arlene Rini Obituary
RINI, Judy
Dec 14, 1943 – Dec 3, 2024
It is with the greatest love that we, the Rini Family, announce the passing of Judith Arlene Rini. Beloved wife, of James Rini, for 63 years. Judy was in her 82nd year and passed peacefully at her home, on December 3rd, surrounded by her loving family.
A cherished Mother to daughters, Kimberly (Dennis Lee), Kelly (Joe Charlebois), Krista (Dan LaRocque). A special and proud Grandmother and Ma to Dianne (Chris), Jim (Kate), Sammy (Perry), Paul, and Saria (Bradley). She adored and found joy in great-grandchildren Maxime, Luca, Mylene and Maria. Also left to mourn are loving sisters, Carole Hansen (Palle), Trudy Bell (John) and her loving and devoted brother, Randy Rafuse (Jenny). Judy is predeceased by her grandparents, Sam and Edith Gaylord of Henderson; parents, Mona and Ralph Rafuse of Westbrook and her dear late sister Christine and her husband, Frits Sorensen. She will be missed by many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Judy was born and raised in Kingston. At age 15, she was employed at St Mary’s of the Lake Hospital. She was educated and clinically trained as a Nurses’ Assistant by the Sisters of Providence. She worked there for 32 years. Judy was known for her outstanding bedside manner and her professionalism. Durning her employment, she organised many fund-raising events, bake sales and dances. All proceeds raised by Judy directly impacted the inpatients that she looked after. Judy felt blessed to be part of the SMOL healthcare team. She had very fond memories of her patients and colleagues.
Judy was known for her passion for gardening. Her backyard was her oasis for all her family to enjoy. Jim always referred to their back yard as *heaven on earth*, and it was just that! Judy loved to be in the kitchen. It was there that she spoiled her family with her love and passion of cooking and baking. Cremation has taken place. A celebration of life will take place in July 2025, (TBA), at James Reid Funeral Home with light lunch to follow. Interment at St. Mary’s Cemetery, Kingston. In memory of Judy, donations to UHKF – Palliative Care would be greatly appreciated.
