Predeceased by her husband Thomas in 2012. She will be remembered by her children Susan Molleson (John), Peter Simkin, and Richard Simkin (late Terry). Joan was loved by all who met her, and she always had an open-door policy. If you were a friend, you would become her family. She will be missed by all her extended family.
Joan loved music, puppies, animals, tea and the odd rye shot once in a while. She was very active in her Church, Kiwanis Club, and GM Choir in Oshawa before her health made it necessary to join her family in Kingston.
The family will be hosting a Celebration of Life on Friday, August 2, 2024, from 3:00 – 5:00 pm at James Reid Funeral Home, Reception Centre, 1900 John Counter Blvd. Please enter through the rear doors.
