Dad passed away in hospital after a brief illness, knowing he had lived a long, full and rewarding life. He continued to enjoy good health well into his 94th year.
Our family is forever grateful for the caring nature and companionship of his Kingston connections: Kingston Cruise Night “Wednesday” fellow car show attendees; friends; and thoughtful neighbours. We want to acknowledge the joy you brought to Dad’s life. For the past year, Dad resided at Chartwell Stonehaven in Kanata where he was able to be close to family.
Ernie, beloved husband of the late Lois King (nee Gilmour), is survived by his children Marcia Walsh (Terry), Nancy King, Lorene Binks (John) and Warren King (Laura). He is Grandpa to many and Great-Grandpa/Poppy to many more.
Predeceased by father Ernest, mother Mildred Roberts, sister Irene, brothers Eldon, Gordon, Gervin, Melvin, Gary and Wayne. Survived by his sisters in law Donna King, Joyce Kendrick (Doug) and Sheila Dugan (John). Ernie is Uncle to many nieces and nephews.
Arrangements by James Reid Funeral Home. Cremation and Inurnment at Glenhaven Memorial Gardens where he will rest alongside Mom. In keeping with Dad’s final wishes, there will no service.
