Our beloved, Donald Edward Boone of Kingston, ON, passed away on October 18, 2023.
Born in Queenstown, NB on February 2, 1936, to Weyman and Muriel Boone, Don is survived by his loving wife, Betty, married 66 years; children, Don (Jane), Brenda, Mark (Pam); cherished grandchildren, Melissa, Kyle, Emily and Jake; brothers Douglas (Ruth), Laurence (Beth) and sister, Bette Anne (Charles) Weaver. He was pre-deceased by sister Helen and brother-in-law Lawson Stockford. He will be missed by nieces and nephews.
Don worked with Correctional Service Canada for 30 years. Retiring in 1991, he started his own business of property care. He loved to work and was at his happiest when he could help other people. He was a passionate and caring Grampa and a committed member of his church who served on many committees.
Family will receive friends at 10:00 a.m., Thursday, November 2, 2023 at St. Thomas Anglican Church, 130 Lakeview Ave., followed by a Celebration of Life service at 11:00 a.m. officiated by Ven. Reverend Bill Clarke.
As expression of sympathy, memorial donations may be made to St. Thomas Anglican Church or Primates World Relief or a charity of your choice.
