1952 – 2023
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Christine Wells (Forelle) in the afternoon of Thursday, November 9, 2023. Christine passed away peacefully at Providence Care Hospital, in her 72nd year.
She will be forever missed by her husband of 50 years, Timothy, daughters Pamela Coppens (Gregory), and Wendy McEvoy (Mitch), grandchildren Jordan, Hunter, and Logan Coppens; Makayla, Nicholas, and Landen McEvoy. Her sisters-in-law, Eva Watts (Harold), Nadine Lollar (Frank), and Mary Wells, her brother-in-law, Christopher Worsley, and many beloved nieces and nephews.
Predeceased by her father George Forelle, her mother Jacoba Forelle (van den Brink), her sisters Patricia Worsley, and Alice Forelle, her parents-in-law, Guy and Clara Wells, brother-in-law, Kevin Wells, and her sister-in-law, Theresa Hulton (Lorne).
Christine was a devoted wife, a loving mother, and an adoring grandmother. Her exceptional talent for gardening was a source of pride, evident in her remarkable flower beds that reflected her unique style, featuring bountiful tulips, charming statues of a kissing Dutch boy and girl, and her treasured wishing well gracing the front yard. Christine’s greatest joy was spending time with her loved ones. She delighted in family euchre games, touring in antique cars, and evening strolls with her husband. These cherished walks always began with a stop at the convenience store for a special treat. In addition to her family life, Christine was a successful business owner, co-managing Specialty Trophies, a trophy and engraving shop, alongside her husband for many years.
The family will be holding a drop in Celebration of Christine’s Life on Wednesday, November 22, 2023, from 7pm to 9pm at James Reid Funeral Home, 1900 John Counter Boulevard.
The family wishes to express their heartfelt gratitude to all their family and friends, as well as the
exceptional PSWs who went the extra mile, and the caring staff at Providence Care Hospital, and Kingston General Hospital for their gentle kindness and compassion.
