Gillies, Alleyne Ruby (nee Flewelling)
“Absent from the body, present with the lord.”
Alleyne went to be with her Lord and Saviour on November 22, 2023. She was predeceased by her husband Ken, her parents Orville and Pearl Flewelling, and her sisters Norma Gillies and Marjorie Bruce.
Loving mother of Karen Fearon, Lori Potts (Gord), and Sandy Maynard (Ken). Grandchildren Jason Fearon (Courtney), Ryan Fearon (Kayla), Geoff Fearon, Trevor Potts, Stephanie Potts (Kevin), Melissa Gowan (Kevin), and Ben Maynard. Great-grandchildren Sophie Fearon, Levi Fearon, Elliott Fearon, Jacob Fearon, and Billy Gowan.
Alleyne was a graduate of the London Bible Institute (1947). Her life’s ministry was with children in Sunday School, Jr. Church, Children’s Choirs, Vacation Bible School (Ontario, Quebec), Canadian Sunday School Mission (Manitoba), Child Evangelism Fellowship (Ontario), and Bible Club Missionary (Williamsport, Pennsylvania).
An interment will take place on Tuesday, November 28 at 1:30 pm at Cataraqui Cemetery.
