At Southbridge Kemptville Care Home on Monday, January 1, 2024. Donna Irene Allaby (nee Huckabone) of Kemptville, age 76. Wife of the late Rolly Allaby. Survived by daughters Cheryl Allaby (Dany Robles Ortega) of Kemptville and Rhonda Allaby-Glass (Etienne Glass) of Orleans. Grandmother to Seth, Quinn, Diego and Eva. Daughter of the late Walter and Grace Huckabone of Kemptville. Daughter-in-law of the late Byron and Florence Allaby of Brockville. Sister to Edith Gottdank of Toronto, Dorothy Rintoul (Ellwood) of Kanata, and Glen Huckabone of Ottawa. Sister-in-law to Caroline VanLuyk, Josie Close, Shirley Bresee and Marg Ethier (Louis) all of Brockville, Audrey Chester of Kingston and Debbie Morphy (Andy) of Smiths Falls. Predeceased by her brother Andy Huckabone and by brothers-in-law Ed, Dillon and Dennis Allaby, Jerry VanLuyk, Ron Tuttle, Jim Chester, sister-in-law Gail Allaby and niece and nephew Debbie and Kevin Bresee. Survived by many nieces and nephews.
As per Donna’s wishes, cremation has taken place and interment will take place in the spring.
A special thanks to the very caring staff at Southbridge who showed great kindness to her.
