SOSTARIC, Vladimir Michael
It is with the deepest of sadness that we announce the passing of Vladimar Michael Sostaric on the evening of July 06th, 2024.
Michael leaves behind brothers Wolfgang and Deiter. His loving and devoted wife of 32 years Teresa Marie Sostaric. His daughter Heidi, her husband Mike, daughter Holly. Michael will also be missed by his four stepsons Gratton, his wife Roxana and son William. Mathew, his wife Sherri, and daughter Megan. Shawn, his wife Jenny. Jarrod, his wife Lucy and daughter Kayla and son Jarrod.
Michael left his country of birth Croatia when he was a teenager escaping the communist advancement. From there Michael found himself moving from Italy to Germany before reading Jack London’s Call of the Wild and falling in love with Canada. After that Michael made it his goal to cross the great pond and make it his home. He arrived in Canada when he was 20 years of age with little to his name but his skill as a toolmaker and determination.
Over the years Michael has been a successful businessman, music enthusiast, art collector, a lover of nature, a supportive and loving husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather.
Michael was always reminded that life was a brief span of time not to be used unwisely. He possessed the gifts of Love, Patience, Appreciation and Understanding. All of these he has shared in abundance more often than can be recounted.
His day always began with a smile and a positive attitude. He always remained true to himself.
Like the fragile butterfly who spreads its wings prepared for flight and goes forward to attain great heights this man had also reached beyond the limits of his expectations.
Although you will be greatly missed, your memory will live on in all of us.
Friends will be received at the McBeath-Dynes Funeral Home 246 Thames Street South, Ingersoll on Wednesday July 17th, 2024, from 1:00pm to 4:00 pm.
In lieu of flowers donations to Alexandra Hospital Foundation would be appreciated for taking great care of Michael through his illness.
