Died peacefully at Shalom Manor in Grimsby on Tuesday, July 30, 2024. She was born on February 25, 1931, in The Netherlands and came to Canada in 1950. Predeceased by her husband, Klaas, of 59 years in 2012.
They operated a dairy farm in the Keady area for 31 years. She dearly loved her children, Henry (Margaret) of Clinton, John (Louise) of Airdrie, AB, Jeannette of Hamilton, Edwin (Mary) of Surrey, BC, Marvin (Michelle) of St. Catharines and Michael (Jan) of Owen Sound. She was a proud grandma of 27 grandchildren and 31 great-grandchildren.
Cremation has taken place. Visitation will be held at the First Christian Reformed Church, Owen Sound on Thursday, August 8, 2024 from 10 – 11 a.m. A service to celebrate Henny’s life will be held at the church at 12 p.m.
Memorial donations can be made to Timothy Christian School or to Shalom Manor and Gardens, Grimsby.
