Obituary of John Den Hartogh
John Den Hartogh (89 yrs) was born in Linchoten, Netherlands and passed away in Leamington, Ont. He lived all of his early years in Arnhem, experiencing WWII before immigrating to Canada in 1953. Farming remained his passion though and worked at this for over 60 yrs. He also was a member of the Seagram’s work force, participating in nearly all of their various departments ending after 40 yrs in fire prevention. Following the general course of life, marriage and children were entwined through these 66 yrs with wife Tena and children Alice, David, Jacob, John, and Emma-Jean. He is also survived by grandchildren, Jennifer, Jannisse, Daniel, Donovan, Liesje, Christina, Deanna, Danja, Leah, Janeva and Alysha and 7 great grandchildren. Visitation will be from 1:30 p.m. – 4 p.m. Sunday, February 25th and again at 10 a.m., Monday, February 26th, followed by the service at 10:30a.m. and then internment at Colchester Memorial Cemetery. Donations may be made to Es Christian Reformed Church. You may send your on line condolences to www.geraldasmith.ca.
