It is with great sorrow to announce the passing of Henri Dufresne, at Pioneer Manor, at the age of 90 years. Husband of the late Jacqueline Daoust. Son of the late Théodore and late Annette (née Piché) Dufresne.Devoted father of Rick (Marilyn), Estelle (Robert), Lise (Jim) and Mike (Lyra). Dear brother of Ernest (Helen). Predeceased by his brother Raymond (late Jane). Cherished grandfather of Kristine (Kirk), Michelle (Alex), Melissa (Jamie), Stephanie (Brendan), Samantha and Great- grandfather of Elliott, Emery, Easton, Isabella, Kinley, Norah. Predeceased by his grandson Gabriel. Henri was born in Bonfield in 1934, raised between Mattawa and Sudbury. He retired from Eaton’s in 1993. He enjoyed traveling with Jacky and later on with his special friend Germaine. He was an avid gardener at his home in Val Caron and at the community garden in Hanmer, where he was a founding member. Henri offered lots of advice to residents at Pioneer Manor. He was a member of the Club D’Age D’Or and WHEO of Sudbury. He spent 15 years volunteering at the Greater Sudbury police Services Val Caron branch. The Dufresne family would like to convey a very special thanks to the angels at Pioneer Manor who made dad feel at home. A private service will be held by the immediate family at a later date.
