Duffy, Peter
It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Peter Edward Duffy on May 14, 2024 at the age of 57. Born auspiciously on June 6, 1966 (6/6/66), Pete was the fourth son of the late Paul and Catherine Duffy. Loving husband of Huyen Trinh and proud father of Caitlin and the late Brennan. Peter will be greatly missed by many family and friends. He graduated from Sherwood Secondary School, and studied at Trent University and Mohawk College, where he learned to be a fine bartender and an even better nurse. He worked with dedication in the ICU and CCU at Hamilton General Hospital. He loved to garden, to cook, to read, to watch his daughter play basketball, to dress up on Halloween, and to make people laugh. A special thanks to the staff of the Juravinski Hospital Emergency Department and the ICU. Visitation will be held at P.X. DERMODY FUNERAL HOME, 796 Upper Gage Ave. (Between Mohawk and Fennell) on Tuesday May 21, 2024 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at Our Lady of Vietnam, 1393 Cannon St. E. on Wednesday May 22, 2024, at 11 a.m. The Funeral can be live streamed at fweb.tv/129462 Cremation and a private family interment to follow at a later date.
