The end of an era!
What can we say about Paul Michael Clappison?
The last remaining child of Wilhelmina and Herbert Clappison’s very own clan of 16.
The Clappison’s were one of the regions founding families.
Truly a character who was easy to love and gave his heart to many.
Paul has finally and mercifully left us to be reunited with his loving wife, Irene and the rest of his family that has gone before him.
He was a caring wonderful father, amazing grandfather and a doting great grandfather and will keep a watchful eye on all.
Paul had an infectious zest for life and was grateful for all of life’s blessings.
He met each hurdle valiantly and humbly.
He cared about others but also wasn’t shy about speaking his mind.
Dad preferred to be a participant rather than a mere spectator. Dad loved to cook and his love of food later in life allowed him to cook like an accomplished gourmet.
He also continued to work right up until his hospitalization about 4 months ago and was determined he would return to work. But unfortunately, in the end and so many roadblocks, he just ran out of steam.
He was one of the good ones. Lost to us now in this life and will be deeply missed.
We need more like him!
