It is with great sadness that wife, mother, mother-in-law, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, sister-in-law, aunt and friend, Marlene Edith Bernice Burrows passed away on Saturday, 14 September 2024. Marlene will be remembered for her lovely singing voice, ardent support for all types of sports and her genuine interest in people. At 86 years old, Marlene was one of seven children to Muriel and Ernest Martin. Marlene was married for 43 years to Jim, who pre-deceased her in 2000, and together they raised four children. She was well-travelled and often told stories about the wonderful people she met.
