It is with broken hearts, we announce the passing of our beloved Mom and Nana on January 18, 2024 after a courageous and hard fought 4-month battle with cancer. Predeceased by her loving husband and best friend Walter. Cherished mom to Jodie, Danielle (Tim) and Angela (Vince). Proud nana of Michelle, Brittany, Cassie, Austyn, Matthew, Peter, Joey and Mikey and Great-nana of Izabella. Dear sister of the late Donna, late Dianne and Jackie. Survived by her best friends Barb, Helen, Gina, Fr. Don, and her many nieces and nephews. Special thanks to Dr. Gutpa, Mani, Melissa, and the rest of the Bayshore team for their amazing care and compassion.
Visitation will be held at P.X DERMODY FUNERAL HOME (7 East Ave. South) on Wednesday, January 24, 2024 from 5pm – 8pm. A Funeral Mass will be held at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church (440 King St. E.) on Thursday, January 25, 2024 at 10am. Please visit www.stpatrickshamilton.ca to live stream the service. Interment to follow at Hamilton Cemetery. Please gather with us at St. Lawrence Parish Hall afterward to celebrate Jo Anne’s Life – those who wish to attend directly after Mass are welcome to do so.
