We are saddened to announce that Helen passed away peacefully at Dundern, long-term care in Hamilton. Helen leaves behind her son Adam, who is the apple of her eye, and her daughter Kimberly, who, after many years of hoping and wishing was united with Kimberlyand her daughter Natasha, their relationship blossomed. Helen was predeceased by her parents Tom and Gisele Mathers, her brothers Gordy(Judy], little Tommy, and Garry[Carol].
Helen is survived by her siblings Susan (Ken), Sharon (John), Keith (Diane), and Cathy[late David]. She also leaves behind many nieces and nephews.
Helen was raised in Bryson Quebec, and then ventured from Bryson to Longlac, to Ottawa, and finally settling in Hamilton, which has been her home for approximately 40 years. In Helen‘s 40s, she made the decision to get her PSW certification, a job she loved. She loved her patients and her patients loved her.
Our dear Helen was known for her infectious smile, her kind heart and her strong faith. This says it best “Helen was so kind, generous and accepting of others. The world would be a better place if more people were like aunt Helen.”
