After a lifetime of love for his family, it is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Eduard Erl, on November 11th 2023. Loving father, father-in-law, Opa and Great Opa, Edy leaves his children, Lothar (Penny) and Edgar (Judy), his grandchildren Christina (Chris), Tanya (Dave), Christopher (Colin) and Andrea. Missing their Opa-O are great-grandchildren, Hayden, Jayda and Ryker.
Also surviving Dad are his remaining family in Germany: Josef (Brother in law), Waltraud (Sister in law), Seiglinde (Sister in law), and all his nieces, nephews, and their families.
His family was his pride and joy. Along with his beloved late wife Centa, he immigrated to Canada to start a new life and provide opportunities for his children. He travelled the world, ran his own business, went fishing in many lakes, and lovingly tended to his garden. You always grew the best tomatoes, Dad.
The family would also like to thank the wonderful staff at Idlewyld Manor. Your excellent and kind care brightened his short stay with you.
We ask that donations be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or the Canadian Cancer Society in Dad’s memory.
There will be a celebration of life held at a later date. Safe Journeys, Dad, Ruhe in Frieden.
