With profound sadness the family announces the peaceful passing of Jim Warren at the age of 88years. Jim passed away at the Northview Nursing Home in Englehart on Tuesday May 28, 2024 with his loving family by his side.
Jim was born October 10, 1935 in Savard Township to the late Frank and Mary Warren. He was a lifelong Englehart and area resident and was a long time Train Dispatcher for Ontario Northland Railway. Upon his retirement, Jim found more time to do the things he loved such as gardening, regular visits to the old farm and tinkering in his garage. But the most important thing in Jim’s life was his family. He loved any time spent with them and looked forward to any family gatherings. Jim was a man with a heart of gold always putting the needs of others before his own. His wonderful sense of humor and his contagious laugh will sorely be missed by all those fortunate enough to have known him.
Jim is survived by his children Lorrain (Paul) Martin, Claude (Bonnie), Peggy (Jim) Lamoureux, Lise (Jody) Gauthier, Jim (Vicki) Warren and Don (Irene) Warren. He is the cherished ‘Big Poppa’ of many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Jim also leaves behind his loving siblings, his many nieces, nephews and extended family members.
The family of the late Jim Warren will receive relatives and friends at the Buffam Leveille Funeral Home – McDonald Chapel, Englehart, on Thursday May 30, 2024 from 10:00am – 11:00am. Interment will follow in the Englehart cemetery. A luncheon will take place at the Rebekah Lodge following the interment. Condolences and memories can be left at www.buffamleveille.com
