Jacob McWhirter-Liney
Jacob Robert David McWhirter-Liney died suddenly May 24,2024. Born January 18, 1996, at the Temiskaming Hospital, he was the son on Katie McWhirter and Mike Liney. He was raised in Cobalt and lived for a short time in Swift Current, Saskatchewan, where his son Graysen, now six, was born.
Jacob loved music and loved his artwork (drawing). It didn’t matter if he had a sketchbook and pencils or a broken crayon and a scrap piece of paper. If he had a way, he’d be drawing. He is survived by his mom Katie McWhirter, dad Mike (Colette) Liney, brother Ethan McWhirter, son Graysen McWhirter, girlfriend Jenn Bedard, uncles David McWhirter and Andrew Liney; and grandparents Harold (Alice) McWhirter, Peggy (Rae) Webster, and Andrew (Valerie) Liney.
A celebration of Jacob’s life will be held on Saturday June 8, 2024, Starting at 4:00pm at 33 Jaffray St., New Liskeard (across from the Beer Store). We will take the time to remember Jacob. Then we will eat his favourite barbecued food, turn up his favourite tunes, and have a few drinks and celebrate Jacob’s life!
