It is with profound sadness that we announce Greg’s sudden passing on January 8th, 2024, at the age of 56. Survived by his parents, Hal and Ruth Dawson, and his sister Deanna (Andrew). Proud uncle to Kyle, Abbey, and Noah. Greg will be sadly missed and forever remembered by his aunts, uncles, cousins, and good friends.
Greg grew up in Burlington and attended university in Windsor. He has been working at Toyotetsu for the last four years while living in the Haldimand region. At each stage of his life Greg had the talent of surrounding himself with amazing friends and colleagues, and the family would like to thank you all for your love and support at this time.
Greg has been a lifelong learner, an avid reader with a passion for history. Uncle Greg was a true “Super Fan” and cheerleader at sporting events for hockey and lacrosse. Remembering him for wearing his Eagles toque to all hockey games. We have lost track of how often Greg donated blood, but the milestone is around 125 times.
As per his wishes, private cremation has taken place. A small private gathering of remembrance with be held later this month.
