Fraser, Brent James Joseph.
Passed away at St. Joseph’s Health Centre, Guelph on Sunday, February 4, 2024, at the age of 73 years. Beloved husband of Ann (nee Butcher) Fraser. Loving dad of Georgia Kane (Brad) and Carrie Harris (Paul). Cherished grandfather of Paige Kane (Abdullah), Jazen Kane and Fraser Harris and great grandfather of Meela and Lily Alghanim-Kane. Survived by his cousins Katherine Lovelady (Brian), Brenda Fraser, Bob Gorman (Carol) and Glenn Fraser (Ann). Predeceased by his parents Ken and Helena Fraser (nee Gorman).
Brent was born in Timmins and he was Algonquin First Nations Indigenous.
Captain Brent Fraser served in the Guelph Fire Department for over 30 years. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, gravel runs, family outings, years of trailer adventures in Sauble Beach, Snug Harbour (Parry Sound) and Booth’s Harbour (St. Williams). His grandchildren and great grandchildren were the source of great enjoyment and pride, Meela and Lily Alghanim-Kane.
Private family celebration of life will be held at a later date.
In memory of Brent, donations to the Guelph General Hospital and the St. Joseph’s Health Centre Palliative Care Unit would be appreciated.
