RAO, Angela.
Passed away at Lapointe-Fisher Nursing Home, Guelph on Sunday, June 23, 2024, at the age of 90 years. Beloved wife of the late Fortunato Rao. Dear mother of Maria Luisa Rao Galletta (Guerino “Jerry”). Loving Nonna of Christian Galletta (Alessia) and Victoria Galletta (Brad Parker). Cherished Bisnonna to Jonah Galletta and Nora Galletta. Predeceased by her siblings Giacomo, Dina, Francesca, Rosalia and a brother in infancy. Survived by many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends in Italy.
Angela was born in Canicatti, Sicily, Italy and became a nurse. She immigrated to Canada and worked in several jobs along with being a homemaker to her family. She was loved by her family and will remain in their hearts forever.
A Funeral Mass was held at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church, Guelph on Thursday, June 27, 2024. Entombment followed at Marymount Catholic Cemetery.
