Shari Ann Short passed away peacefully with her children by her side on February 11, 2024, at the South Muskoka Memorial Hospital in Bracebridge, Ontario at the age of 82.
Daughter of the late Wilfred and Jessie Miller. Loving mom of Lisa Medley (Brent) and Abbie Short (Teanna), treasured Gramma of Jakab Short and Nathan Medley and forever best friend of Barbara Fitzsimmons. She will also be remembered by many nieces and nephews, extended family and friends.
For over 20 years until her second retirement in 2019, Shari was a valued employee of the Budget Propane Corporation family and was significantly involved in the growth of the company with her commitment and hard work where she made many friends who became like family to her.
Outside of her professional achievements, Shari enjoyed supporting Lisa and Abbie’s love of baseball and spending time with Jake and Nathan doing whatever their hearts’ desired. She was an animal lover and there was always a dog and/or cat in her home. She was a voracious reader, lover of music and an expert Boggle and cribbage player.
Shari will be dearly missed and forever remembered by those whose lives she touched.
A Celebration of Life will be held in honour of Shari Short at Cavill Funeral Home located at 215 Bay Street in Gravenhurst, Ontario, on February 24, 2024, beginning at 1:00 PM and concluding at 3:00 PM. The Celebration of Life will be casual and on a drop-in basis.
