On January 15th, with his family at his side, Scott Duncan MacDonald peacefully passed away at the South Muskoka Memorial Hospital, in Bracebridge Ontario. His final moments reflect the profound love he felt for his family and friends. His memory will forever remain alive in the hearts of those closest to him.
He is survived by his two sons: Kyle MacDonald (Emily Meikle) and Lucas MacDonald. Scott adored his only granddaughter, Olive, and she brought immense joy to his life.
Also commemorating Scott’s life are Connie Lamorie, the mother of their children, and his siblings: Bob MacDonald, Terry Deimert (Neil), and Joanne Fenton (Barry). He will be missed by his niece and nephews: Joey, Tricia, Connor, Corey, and William. Predeceased by his parents, Joe and Rose MacDonald, and brother John MacDonald.
Scott was a proud Scotsman that lived life with a free spirit that faced both the ups and downs of life with unwavering resilience. Scott was a skilled painter and carpenter who had a deep love for family, the outdoors, classic cars, travel, and hockey. He had a zest for life and will be remembered fondly by those who were fortunate enough to have known him.
He leaves behind a legacy of resilience, passion, and a reminder to embrace every moment with a smile and open arms. As we bid farewell to our dear friend Scott, let us cherish the memories we shared with him and celebrate the vibrant life he lived. Though he may be gone from our sight, he will forever be remembered in our hearts.
A celebration of life will take place in Gravenhurst in the spring.
