Linda Darlene Didsbury, a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, passed away on Friday, February 2, 2024, just one month shy of her 62nd birthday.
Linda was an exceptional individual whose spirit touched the lives of many. Her career as a Developmental Service Worker allowed her to make a profound impact on the lives of those she served. However, it was her dedication to incorporating equine therapy into her work that truly set her apart. Linda recognized the transformative power that horses could have in helping individuals with developmental challenges, and she wholeheartedly embraced this unique approach. Through her unwavering commitment and passion for horse therapy, Linda provided countless individuals with a renewed sense of hope and possibility.
Beyond her professional accomplishments, Linda will forever be remembered the incredible person she was. Described as sweet, gentle. Kind, caring, loving, and supportive, Linda was truly an angel among us. She processed an unwavering strength that seemed to hold everyone together – she was the glue that bonded her family and friends. Her warm presence brought comfort to those around her. Amidst any storm of hardship faced by her loved ones, Linda remained a steadfast rock on which others could lean.
Linda’s generosity knew no bounds. Her helpful nature and willingness to lend a hand endeared her to all who were fortunate enough to know her. Whether it was offering a shoulder to lean on or going out of her way to assist anyone in need, Linda’s selflessness and compassion were nothing short of extraordinary.
When not working or supporting others, Linda found solace in the company of her horses and dogs. Her love for these majestic animals knew no bounds. Spending time with them brought an unparalleled sense of tranquility in her life. Linda’s enthusiasm for incorporating equine therapy into her work stemmed from her deep-rooted passion for these animals. Her dedication to both her career and her beloved horses was a testament to her unwavering commitment to making a positive difference.
Linda’s passing has left an immense void in the lives of those who knew and loved her. She will be forever cherished by her husband of 37 years, Michael, who stood by her through thick an d thin. Her children, Morgan Didsbury and Annie Didsbury (Casey Cooke) were blessed to have such an incredible mother whose love and support knew no bounds. Her granddaughter, Romina, held a very special place in Linda’s heart. Linda will also be missed by her sister Sharon Johnson and her brother Scott Johnson (Sheilah).
Linda was predeceased by her parents Orvil and Jean Johnson.
Visitations will be held on Friday, February 9, from 2 – 4 & 6 – 8 PM at Cavill Funeral Home, 215 Bay Street, Gravenhurst, ON.
