A beloved mother, grandmother, and great grandmother, passed away peacefully at Andy’s House Hospice, on November 11, 2023 with her beloved family by her side.
Donna was the beloved wife of the late Bronislaw (2015). She will be sadly missed by her children: Krystyna Gordon (Robert), Robert Bednarz (Anna), Alice Juul (Chris), and the late Andrew Bednarz (Carla). Donna’s grandchildren — Jason Gordon (Michele), Christopher Bednarz (Whitney), Lyndsay Gordon (Darryl), Megan Juul (Greg), and Landon Juul (Amanda) — brought immeasurable joy to her life. Her great-grandchildren Sydney, MacKenzie, Jacob, Jackson, and Reid were a source of immense pride and happiness.
In her younger years, Donna, known affectionately as “Mom” by the kids at RH King Academy, was cherished for her warm and caring nature. She treated every child as if they were her own, providing not only custodial services but also guidance and support whenever needed. Donna’s dedication and commitment to fostering a welcoming environment in the school were truly remarkable.
Outside of her work, Donna had a variety of interests that brought her joy. She had a passion for reading and could often be found immersed in a good book. Additionally, she enjoyed playing games such as Bingo, Chinese Checkers, and Bocci Ball. Later in Gravenhurst, Donna’s adventurous spirit shone through as she explored the town on her trusty scooter. She was so popular that one had to book an appointment just to have the chance to spend time with her because she was rarely home.
Family trips were always a special occasion for Donna. She loved traveling to destinations like Cancun and Florida with her beloved husband Bronislaw until his passing in 2015. These trips created lasting memories that will be cherished by her children.
On November 16, 2023, friends and family will gather to pay their respects to Donna at the Cavill Funeral Home located at 1 Bay Street in Gravenhurst, Ontario. Visitation will take place from 11:00 AM to 12:30 PM. Immediately following the visitation, a Mass will be held at St. Paul’s Roman Catholic Church, located at 235 John St S in Gravenhurst, Ontario, starting at 1:00 PM.
Donna will be dearly missed by her surviving family members and friends. Her sister-in-law Victoria Kalwa, her nieces, nephews, and cousins are left with fond memories of their time together.
Donna’s kindness, dedication, and unwavering love will forever remain in the hearts of all who had the privilege of knowing her. Her legacy as a caring custodian, cherished mother figure, and loving family member will continue to inspire those whose lives she touched. May she rest in peace knowing that she made a profound impact on the lives of so many.
