Anderson, Raymond Clarence “Ray” –
Passed away peacefully in his 93rd year, after a short illness, on Friday, January 5, 2024 at the Credit Valley Hospital, Mississauga, with his family by his side. Son of the late Clarence and Eldred Anderson, Ray was born on the family farm in Terra Cotta. Ray was the beloved husband of Norma for 63 years and the loving father of Susan and David (Brian). Beloved brother of the late Don (Marlene), sister of Betty Jean Carberry (Clare), and brother of David (Joyce). Dear uncle of Caron (Mark), Kevin (Michelle), Janet, Glenn, Brad (Annalee), Bob and Julie. Ray completed his B.Sc. in Pharmacy at U of T in 1959 and was a pharmacist for 38 years serving in Brampton, Georgetown and Milton. He enjoyed the cottage, music, theatre, travelling and being a handyman “Mr. Fix It”. Ray will be forever remembered by his family for his caring, positive and even-tempered personality and his wonderful sense of humor.
Friends and family will be received at the Jones Funeral Home, 11582 Trafalgar Road, Georgetown on Wednesday, January 10th from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Funeral service will be held in the chapel on Thursday, January 11th at 11 a.m. Reception to follow in the Trafalgar Room. Interment at Hillcrest Cemetery, Norval.
