Rosie, Lillian Katharine (nee Smith) – Died peacefully at the start of her 91st year, surrounded by family, in her home, after a well fought battle. Beloved wife and partner of Bob Rosie (2009) for over 52 years. She is survived by her children Jeanne & Iain Brennan, Meg Rosie and Rob & Karen Rosie, by her grandchildren Ashley & Jake, Kat & Logan, Colin, Sean, Paul & Stephanie, Allison and Connor and her great-grandson Ridley. She is also survived by her brother Ray & his wife Lorna Smith, her sister-in-law Ina Johnston and brother-in-law Don & his wife Mary-Del Rosie. She will be missed by many nieces & nephews and a multitude of friends. The family wishes to thank the thoughtful and caring staff of Mountainview Terrace, the Transitional Care Wing at Georgetown Hospital and the Palliative Care Team in Cedar Lane of Mountainview Residence. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Cancer Assistance Halton Hills ( www.cancerassistance.org ). Visitation will be at Jones Funeral Home 11582 Trafalgar Rd Georgetown on Friday May 3rd from 2 – 4PM and 6 – 8PM with a Celebration of Life at 2PM on Saturday May 4th. Reception to follow. Cremation has taken place and there will be a private inurnment at a different time.
