The late Francesco (Frank) D’Alesio
With heavy hearts, we are deeply saddened to announce the passing of our beloved husband, father and grandfather, Francesco. He entered into rest surrounded by the love of his family on July 10, 2024 at Dr. Bob Kemp Hospice. Frank in his 83rd year is survived by his beloved wife of 58 years, Giuseppina (nee Cuffaro). Devoted father to Tony (Virginia) and Robert (Lucilla). Proud Nonno to Sabrina, Claudia, Erica and Kristina. Predeceased by his parents; Antonio and Brigida (nee Monaco) and father and mother-in-law Francesco and Rose Cuffaro. Dear brother and brother-in-law to the late Domenica (late Giuseppe Bonventura), the late Dominico (Margherita), the late Donato (Margherita), the late Antonio and Concetta, Palmina (late Liberatore DiRienzo) and Emmanuela and Domenico Tornifoglia. Beloved brother-in-law of the late Charlie Cuffaro (Lina), Alfonso and Carmelina Cuffaro, the late Lorenzo Cuffaro (Gina), Charles and Frances Butera, the late Sam Cuffaro and Joe and Connie Cuffaro. Forever remembered by many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends in Canada and Italy.
Frank was born in Pettorano sul Gizio, Abruzzo Italy. He immigrated to Canada in 1961. For most of his working life he was a proud and skilled Machine Operator at Newman Steel. In retirement he volunteered at St. Joseph’s Hospital and was the president of the St. Anges Bocce club for over 10 years.
A special thanks to the loving care received from nurses; Evelyn, Aimee, Jen, Vinny and especially Dulce. A sincere and heartfelt thank you to the staff at Dr. Bob Kemp Hospice, Cancer Assistance Program and dear friend Dr. Ross Allega.
Visitation at SMITH’S FUNERAL HOME, 454 Highway #8 (east of Millen Road) STONEY CREEK (905-664-4222) on Monday, July 15, 2024, from 3-5 and 6-9 p.m. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Anthony of Padua Roman Catholic Church (Barton Street East & Gage Avenue) in Hamilton, on Tuesday, July 16, 2024, at 10:00 a.m. Entombment at Holy Sepulchre Catholic Cemetery, Burlington.
