Jeanette Mary Lynds (Greenough) 1942 – 2024
Jeanette passed peacefully in her sleep at her home on Wednesday, October 23, 2024 at the age of 82 with God by her side, embracing the eternal love and comfort that only he can provide.
Jeanette was born in Enfield, Nova Scotia on August 1, 1942, to her proud parents, Ray and Margaret “Nellie” Greenough, she was the second child in their family of seven children.
Preceded in death by her parents, by her sisters Yvonne Kirk (Bill), Carolyn Lalonde (John) and by her beloved husband Ronald Lynds (2021). Loving mother of Rod, Mark, Greg (Lisett) and Lorne (Tiffany). Cherished grandmother of Barry (Stephanie), Brittany (Franco), Tyler, Dustin (Katie), Branson (Skyler), Ryeley (Kiara), Boston (Hailey), Lanaya, Darien (Spencer), Shae (Aaron), Tanner (Natalie), Nolan (Kate) and great grandmother of Nicole, Gerard, Maverick, Finnegan and four more new great grandchildren on the way.
Dear sister of Debbie Breault (Mike), Ron Greenough, Brenda Jolicouer (Paul) and Darlene Spencer (Terry).
Known for her sweet spirit and loving nature, she touched the lives of everyone she met. She was a constant source of love and kindness, always ready to lend a listening ear or offer a comforting hug. She was passionate about her family, children, grandchildren, great grandchildren, brother and sisters, finding joy in the simplest of moments. She taught us the value of kindness, compassion, and resilience, instilling these qualities in her children and all who had the privilege of knowing her. She loved crocheting which she pursued with enthusiasm for a final product to show her love, to the ones she loved. She was a very caring sweet lady, and she had a unique ability to make those around her feel special and appreciated. A radiant soul who graced our lives with her beauty, and unwavering love. Her presence was a gift, and her legacy will forever be woven into the fabric of our lives. In her journey to heaven, we believe she is surrounded by love, embraced by those who have gone before her.
In keeping with Jeannette’s wishes, cremation has taken place. A graveside service will be held at Pleasantview Funeral Home & Cemetery at 2250 RR 20, Fonthill, ON L0S 1E6 on Saturday, October 26th at 10:45 am. A private celebration of life will be held following the funeral service, to share memories and honor the beautiful lady she was.
Mom, you will be profoundly missed, but your love will forever be our guiding light. Thank you for being you, your spirit will live in all of us, illuminating our lives with the love you so freely gave us.
